What is holistic design?

Holistic design is an approach that creates spaces by considering the well-being of the entire family. It goes beyond aesthetics to focus on how elements like natural light, airflow, non-toxic materials, and mindful layouts impact physical, emotional, and mental health. The goal is to design environments that promote balance, sustainability, and harmony, fostering a nurturing space that supports a healthy lifestyle for generations.

What are VOC's?

VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) are harmful chemicals found in many household products like paints, cleaning supplies, and furniture. They can easily evaporate into the air, contributing to poor indoor air quality and potentially causing health issues like headaches, dizziness, or respiratory problems.

What are Phthalates?

Phthalates are a group of chemicals used to make plastics more flexible and durable. They are commonly found in products like vinyl flooring, shower curtains, toys, and personal care items such as perfumes and lotions. Phthalates can leach into the air or skin and have been linked to health concerns, including hormone disruption and developmental issues.

What is PVC and is it Dangerous?

PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is a type of plastic commonly used in construction materials, flooring, plumbing pipes, and other household products. While durable and cost-effective, PVC can have negative health effects due to the chemicals involved in its production and use, including phthalates (used to soften the material) and other toxic additives.

When PVC products are used or heated, they can release harmful chemicals into the air—a process called offgassing. These chemicals, including volatile organic compounds (VOCs), can contribute to poor indoor air quality and have been linked to respiratory problems, headaches, skin irritation, and long-term health issues like hormone disruption and cancer.

What's concerning is that PVC can offgas for the entire life of the product, meaning these harmful substances continue to be released over time, even as the product ages. As a result, the presence of PVC in the home can pose ongoing health risks, particularly in enclosed spaces where ventilation is limited.

What is Formaldehyde ?

Formaldehyde is a colorless, strong-smelling gas commonly used in the production of building materials, furniture, and household products like pressed-wood products (plywood, particleboard), insulation, and certain fabrics. It is also found in some cleaning agents and cosmetics.

Formaldehyde is classified as a volatile organic compound (VOC) and can be released into the air through a process called offgassing, especially when products made with it are new. Exposure to formaldehyde can cause irritation to the eyes, nose, and throat, and prolonged exposure is linked to more serious health risks, such as respiratory issues, allergies, and even cancer. This is why it's important to minimize exposure, particularly in poorly ventilated spaces.

Do you accept credit card?

Will you stick to my budget?

We understand that respecting your budget is essential, and it is very important to us. To ensure we meet your financial needs, we collaborate with a diverse range of vendors who can accommodate various budgets. Rest assured, we'll work diligently to provide solutions that align with your budget while delivering exceptional results.

How will you make sure it is my style ?

To ensure your space turns out exactly as you envision, we’ll start by sending you a detailed questionnaire and arranging a meeting to get to know you better. We’ll also review all your inspiration images together. This thorough process helps us capture your unique style and preferences, ensuring the final design is a perfect reflection of your vision.

How often will we hear from you?

Throughout the renovation process, you'll receive detailed updates every Friday via email, keeping you informed of recent developments and upcoming milestones. Once the renovation begins, we'll hold a Zoom call each Friday with our team, the General Contractor, and you to ensure everyone is aligned and up-to-date. Additionally, we're always available during business hours by text or phone call, so you can reach out whenever needed. Rest assured, we'll keep you continually informed and engaged throughout the project.

How will you make sure the project stays on schedule?

We are onsite weekly to ensure that everything progresses smoothly and consistently. Our regular visits allow us to monitor the project's status closely and address any issues promptly, keeping everything on track and aligned with your vision.

How do you handle issues that may arise during the renovation?

In the event of any issues during the remodel, we set aside a $5,000 contingency fund upfront to cover unforeseen emergencies. This ensures that any unexpected challenges are managed promptly and efficiently. If the contingency is not utilized by the end of the project, it will be returned to you. This approach helps us maintain smooth progress while providing peace of mind.
